Renée's handsome husband, Farmer Dan, and their four incredibly talented, perfectly patient children have guided Renée through a world of beauty and wonder, greater than any blessing that she could have imagined. Encouraging and challenging her to find balance in an often far too reclusive life. Renée volunteers and shares her time with various charitable groups, always keeping her focus on the warmth of family, friends, and her warm heart. Renée has practiced QuiGong, grown roses, and raised Koi for years. As a life long learner she studies anthropology and linguistics. These are the colours which permeate her art.
Renée's father was an abstract artist, involved in publishing, and inspired by music. Her childhood home reeked of oil paints, and throbbed with rock and roll. "Draw what you see, not what you think you should see." was her father expectation. "Ugly is beautiful if you let yourself spend enough time with it." With a love for nature and humanity Renée found that what she could see was much more than what her eyes would behold.
She shares these germinal glimpes of nature with us in her works of art.
